Prices and FAQ's

So if you have made it this far hopefully you like what you see.

I try to keep my pricing simple. I don't really do half days or small packages. I love doing what I do! So if someone has only paid me for half day, I find it hard to be leaving at a certain time when there are still amazing shots to be had!  For me its an honour to be asked to capture your special day, so if I'm doing it, I'm doing it right!  No clock watching or running off after the first dance. I only leave when I know I have enough shots!

Photography - £1500

Which includes . . . . . .

Pre wedding consultation - get to know each other, I would love to learn about your day, why you have planned, your priorities and talk about how I can capture it best.

The full day with myself as your photographer, usually starting around 2-3hrs before the ceremony.

Capturing all of the obvious stuff like the ceremony, family/group shots etc.

Depending on what you would like, maybe 30-60 mins to grab some natural and candid shots of the lovely couple. This can be done in the daytime, evening around sunset (my favourite) or even at night time with my lighting.

Images of the first Dance and evening entertainment! Followed by epic dancing/drunken shots can be left in, or taken out, your choice but they do make fun images :-D

No time limit - I only go when I have enough photos, but when the dance floor is bouncing I will be in the mix getting some of that action!

Minimum of around 400 images

Every image is professionally edited in my own style!

All images are digitally published on your own private online gallery for you to share with who you like. They are free to download.

FAQ's

I already have a photographer/videographer. Do I need to book you for both photography and videography?

No. You don't need to have me for both photo and video. I am more than happy doing either photo/video. Sometimes I may not be able to do both anyway depending on my availability. I limit myself on the amount of jobs I take on every year. I would rather take on less jobs and have the time to edit them right than take the extra cash and rush these things out. Quality takes time, and my integrity is more important to me than profit. If I'm not available to do both, I have worked with a lot of other photographers/videographers. From these, I know a select few who work to my high standards but more importantly, I know I work really well. I have a few I can recommend depending on your budget.

You mention destination, do you do destination photography/videography?

Yes I do. I just charge the same prices above, plus my travel and expenses. More expensive than some of the hotels photographers I know, but the ones who I have dealt with usually have basic camera equipment and have lots of hidden extra charges. So the question is, what price do you put on your memories? If you are thinking you would like to take me with you, I would love to chat and talk abut what we can do.

How long till I receive my photos/film?

Generally the preview and trailer will be ready 6 weeks after your wedding day, and 12 weeks for your full gallery and film. This may be slightly longer in the peak season.

Do I need 4K film?

Short answer - To keep it simple, no you don't, but if you have the budget the 4K footage it is stunning.

Slightly longer answer - I go a bit more technical here. People can get caught up in HD, 4K, now 8K as this specification is what sells TV's. Generally some TV salespersons will tell you the higher the resolution, the better the picture. Which is correct to a certain extent, but there are other factors.

What the sales person doesn't tell you is that it's not just about resolution size, you have to consider what its being filmed on. I know that there are people filming things in 4K footage that doesn't look as good as what I am filming in HD on my equipment. For example a top end phone, or even a cheap-mid range camera filming in its highest resolution of 4K, would not be as good as what my cameras can do in HD. There are other factors such as the sensor type, size and pixel quality.

Some people wonder why it's more expensive. Simply, 4K on professional grade equipment creates massive files. This requires more expensive cards and storage to save the footage. It is also a lot more work editing the files.

So to summarise, the HD IS going to look awesome on your TV, the 4K will look stunning! If you want more technical info behind this, get in touch and we can have a chat about it.

How do I book you?

For me to book the date out. I need a signed contract (this protects us both) and a non-returnable booking fee of £300. The remaining balance is to be paid 4 weeks before the big day. If its last minute and money is tight, we can always work out a payment plan with a partial payment after the big day.

Can I book a package and upgrade at a later date?

I understand it can be difficult working towards a budget, so upgrading at a later date is fine. Once you have booked me you will have me for that date. However, if you are thinking of having an extra shooter I cannot always guarantee their availability at a later date. I would ask that you let me know sooner rather than later to ensure that I have sufficient time to arrange this. Best to just speak to me if this is something you are considering.

How do I pay you?

Most of my clients pay me via bank transfer. I do also have a PayPal account, there is a small additional charge on this as PayPal charge me.
